会议介绍Introduction
Bamboo and timber industry promises to be a green and sustainable industry
to ensure low carbon future for the construction sector. With the overarching
aim of supporting carbon neutrality strategy, the International Conference on Advancements
in Bamboo and Timber Industry (ABTI) will promote new concepts of carbon-positive
development and will explore opportunities of replacing plastic with bamboo. Underpinned
by the strategic needs of innovation-driven development, ABTI aims to enhance
the technical exchange in the bamboo and timber industry, strengthen the
international exchanges and industry-university research collaborations to
transform and advance the bamboo and timber industry to develop high-value
products to meet future needs of the construction industry.
With the continuing depletion of mineral resources and the alarming deterioration
of the environment due to construction activities, the concept of sustainable
development has become one of the major considerations around the world. This
has led research from across the globe to pay more attention towards the
sustainable development of materials and structures. To complement this
research need, the International Conference on Sustainable Structures (ICSUST)
was launched by the International Journal of Sustainable Structures (SUST),
Nanjing Forestry University, University of Naples Federico II (UNINA), US NSF
Center for Integration of Composites into Infrastructure, University
College London (UCL), Deakin University, West Virginia University and so on in
2022. The conference name has been changed into the International Conference on Sustainable
Structures and Materials (SUSM) from 2025 with the born of a new journal
named Sustainable Engineering Materials (SUEM). The aim of this International
Conference is to provide a platform for
academic exchange, to promote the research of green, low-carbon and sustainable
development of materials and structures, and to serve the construction of a
better home for mankind. Welcome experts, scholars, engineers, technicians and
entrepreneurs from all around the world!
International Conference on Advances in Civil Engineering and Materials
(ACEM) and World Symposium on Sustainable Bio-composite Materials and
Structures (SBMS) resulted from collaboration between many reputed institutions
including Nanjing Forestry University (China), Deakin University (Australia),
University of Naples Federico II (Italy), International Bamboo and Rattan
Organisation (INBAR). The aim of the conference is to provide an
interactive platform for experts, scholars, engineers, technicians and entrepreneurs
engaged in related research to understand the academic development trends,
broaden research ideas, enhance friendship, strengthen exchanges and collaboration,
and promote the transformation of scientific research achievements.
No conference proceedings will be published as part of
this event but high-quality papers will be considered for possible publication
in Sustainable Structures (ESCI, Scopus,
DOAJ and so on), Sustainable Engineering
Materials, Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts (SCI，EI, Scopus and so on), Nanotechnology Reviews (SCI), Journal of Renewable Materials (EI, Scopus and so on) and Journal
of Forestry Engineering (CSCD). Registered participants will receive the latest published
journals for SUST and SUEM.
